Thank you for your interest in my images of Ocean City, New Jersey over the last 30 plus years. It has been a long time and a lot of fun. Most of you know that I began painting images of Ocean City, NJ in 1985. My very first painting of “Dot’s Bakery” at 32nd Street sold within 15 minutes of hanging it in Accent Gallery (which was located at 10th and Asbury Avenue) I sold a lot of paintings and then I decided to produce prints of the my paintings in 1990 and I have been selling prints (and original paintings of course) of Ocean City ever since. I also created the large 22 x 28 poster “Ocean City America’s Greatest Family Resort” which I may re-print in the very near future. My paintings have been copied by a slew of artists, however I take pride in the fact that I was the first, the first at least to recognize the value and paint the famous icons of Ocean City like…”Mack and Manco Pizza” (the best pizza in the world) ”Chatterbox,” “Johnson’s Popcorn Sign,” “Kessel’s Korner,” “Night in Venice,” “Hogates..NO WAKE!,” to name a few…and of course “Smitty’s B.Y.O.B in Somers Point and “Out All Night!” which features Bayshores, Tony Marts, Anchorage, Dunes and the Point Diner, and many many more.
